Mai (our mom) is from South India and makes the best chutney on the planet. It’s fluffy, thick—not watery—and adds the perfect umami bite to whatever it graces. It’s so good that for our entire lives we’ve been asking her for “more chutney.”
As kids, we ate chutney with dosas on Sunday’s at brunch. As adults, (that are more creative ) we insist that she make it by the bottle(s) so our own kitchens are stocked with More Chutney. We put it on everything! From eggs, to grain bowls, to steak; we spread it on sandwiches and wraps; we use it as a dip for veggies and cheese plates. She’s a versatile condiment!
Then we thought…maybe other people need More Chutney in their lives, too? Since cooking for others is Mai’s love language, she was all in.
